I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
